RCNA COVID-19 Relief Fund

Greetings Neighbor!

In this time of uncertainty, the Reed-Cooke Neighborhood Association created the Emergency Relief Grant program to offer micro-grants to residents of Adams Morgan who have lost their jobs as a result of the Coronavirus Health Crisis.

Applicants are able to apply for a one time grant of $300 in financial assistance to pay for rent, food, medical bills, or other emergency costs.

The Reed-Cooke Neighborhood Association is raising money for the Relief Fund and will match donations up to $10,000.

Click on the link below to donate. All donations are tax-deductible through RCNA’s 501(c)(3) status, and 100% of funds will be distributed to those in need.

Grant Eligibility

The applicant must meet the following criteria. While we hope to award grants to as many eligible applicants as possible, a grant is not guaranteed.

  • Have been employed on March 1, 2020 and unemployed due to Covid-19
  • Live in Adams Morgan (see ANC1C boundaries here)
  • Attest to their need for emergency or necessary expense help; and not be receiving other assistance that meets their needs (priority will be given to those without other sources of support)
  • Funds will be distributed to eligible applicants on a first-come-first-serve basis.

How to Apply

Please apply at the link below. We hope to help as many eligible people as possible. Priority will be given to those without other sources of financial support.

Maximum Award

One-time grants will be made for up to $300 per individual. Grants will be disbursed on a rolling basis until the fund is depleted. A second round of applicants may be considered if RCNA receives additional fund support.

Award Notification

RCNA will verify applications with employers. We recommend you let your employer know that you’ve applied, to help provide advance notice that the RCNA will be contacting them and will need their quick response.
